Two guys were picked up by the cops for smoking crack and appeared in court before the judge. 

두 사내가 마약(코카인)을 흡입한 혐의로 경찰에 잡혀와서 법정의 판사앞에 섰습니다.

 

The judge said, "You seem like nice young men, and I'd like to give you a second chance rather than jail time."

판사왈, "자네들 괜찮은 젊은이들 인것 같고 해서, 내가 감옥해 쳐넣기 보다는 기회를 한번더 주고 싶고 싶어요."

"I want you to go out this weekend and try to show others the evils of drug use and pursued them to give up drugs forever."

"자네들 이번 주말에 나가서 다른 사람들에게 마약의 나쁜점을 보여주고, 그들이 영원히 마약을 끊을 수 있도록 해봐요."

 

"I'll see you back in court Monday."

"월요일에 법정에서 다시 볼게요."

 

Monday, the two guys were in court, and the judge said to the first one, "How did you do over the weekend?"

월요일에, 두사내가 법정에 돌아왔습니다. 판사가 첫번째 사내에게 물었습니다, "자네는 주말에 어떻게 했나?"

 

"Well, your honor, I persuaded 17 people to give up drugs forever."

"판사님, 저는 17명의 사람들을 설득해서 영원히 마약을 끊도록 했습니다."

 

"17 people? That's wonderful. What did you tell them?"

"17명이라고? 엄청나군. 그들에 뭐라고 말했길래?"

 

"I used a diagram, your honor. I drew two circles like this: O o and told them this (the big circle) is your brain before drugs and this (small circle)is your brain after drugs."

"저는 도표를 사용했습니다, 판사님. 여기에 원을 2개를 그렸습니다: O o 그리고 그들에게 큰원은 마약하기전에 당신의 뇌이고, 작은원은 마약하고난 후의 당신의 뇌라고 말했습니다."

 

"That's admirable," said the judge. "And you, how did you do?" (to the 2nd guy)

"훌륭하군," 판사가 말했습니다. "그러면 자네는, 자네는 어떻게 했나?" (2번째 사내에게)

 

"Well, your honor, I persuaded 156 people to give up drugs forever."

"네, 판사님, 저는 156명의 사람들을 설득해서 마약을 영원히 끊게 했습니다."

 

"156 people! That's amazing! How did you manage to do that!"

"156명! 엄청나군! 자네는 어떻게 했길래!"

 

"Well, I used the same two circles. I pointed to the small circle and told them, "This is your asshole before prison...." "

"네, 저도 2개의 원을 사용했습니다. 작은 원을 가리키며 그들에게 이렇게 말했습니다, "이게 감옥에 가기전의 여러분 똥구멍입니다." "
