(영어표현) "go way wide" 크게 빗나가다, 완전히 틀어지다

"There's a pretty good chance my first shot will go way wide." 라는 표현은

직역하면 "내 첫번째 총알이 크게 빗나갈 확률이 매우 높군" 이 됩니다.

좀더 구어체적으로 의역해서 "첫번째 탄이 명중하는 그림이 떠오르지 않아" 라고 했네요.

 

 

go way wide 라는 표현이 좀 어려운데,

= significantly off target

= miss the mark by a large margin

= 과녁에서 심하게 벗어난

의 의미로 해석할 수 있습니다.
