Jeolanam-do, Suncheon City One-day Trip Itinerary (Suncheon Drama filming, Suncheon Bay National Garden) for expat in Korea

Let's consider you've already visited "Suncheon Bay Nature Reserve"(순천만습지)

which is most famous in Suncheon Area.

What I recommend as a one-day trip itinerary in Suncheon city is this.

 

1) Suncheon Drama filming

2) Suncheon Bay National Garden

 

The thing is that Suncheon is famous for Suncheon Bay Nature Reserve.

This area is registered as a World unesco heritage site.

So most local people already visited there once at least.

 

However, actually there is not so much cool things to see around.  :(

The reeds are lush in the wetlands downstream of the river

that flows into the wide plains.

The birds are swarming ~~ That's all !  haha

 

It is all you can feel something cool

watching wide plains and wetlands there.

Nothing more.  ;(

 

 

1) Suncheon Drama filming (순천 드라마 촬영장)

 

It is a set place for movie and drama.

They built well this facilities to represent the age from 1920 to 1970 as a set.

 

 

At this era, Korea had a hard time. Very poor~

It is totally different with todays.

There are many things to see around.

 

 

One famous korean movie which "Ha Jeongwoo" and "Ha Jiwon" had featured

was taken here.

I was posing there and took photo of myself.  :)

 

 

Opening hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Admission fee is 3,000 won. (3$)

2) Suncheon Bay National Garden (순천만 국가정원)

 

The International Gardening Fair was held here in 2013.
They keep this place as a tourist attraction after the event.

A lot of characteristic national gardens of the worlds are gathered here.

So the place is very spacious.

It takes about two hours to get around.

 

 

Suncheon city is at the southern end of Korea.

So unless you live near Suncheon, mostly it is quite far from your place.

 

After I stop by the Suncheon Drama filming, it is usually evening.

But, this national garden is even worth seeing at night.

It is well decorated with various LEDs.

 

Opening hours are from 8:30 am to 10:00 pm. 
Admission fee is 8,000 won. (8$)
